March 16th, 2010Phil Ivey now an onlinepoker player at Full Tilt Poker. Phil is a New Jersey guy, Phil began his poker career in Atlantic City. He became a high-stakes poker player the moved on to the live poker tournaments circuit in the year of 2000. He was just 23 and Phil won his first World Series of Poker against Phil Hellmuth and Amarillo Slim with a $2,500 Pot-Limit Omaha topurnament.
Years passed to 2009, Phil has proven himself becoming one of the biggest players in he poker world when he won two WSOP bracelets.
His 6th gold bracelet came in the $2.5K No-Limit Deuce-to-Seven Lowball event when he bested a field of 147 entrants, including some of the world’s top poker players, for more than $96K. He won his 7th bracelet in the $2.5K Omaha/Seven-Card Stud Hi/Lo event for over $220K in prize money, a victory which ties Phil in fourth place with Billy Baxter for All-Time Bracelet wins.
WSOP 2009 final table was Phil’s best performance when he has finished the tournament in 7th place and cash amount of $1.4 million earnings. He took part in 36 WSOP events. Phil Ivey made a good start for 2010 in the Aussie Millions AU$100K Challenge. Phil is now living in Las Vegas. With his golf platform near his house he is playing golf as much as he could find time from playing online poker.
